These platforms remove unwanted vibrations from sensitive instruments such as analytical balances and microscopes. Instruments are placed straight onto the flat platform and isolations are removed by four isolation feet, which sit directly onto the existing worksurface. Platform feet are adjustable, making the plaforms easy to level. The Laminated top plate construction features a sound deadening layer of visco-eleastic polymer which soaks up surfave borne vibrational energy ensuring our platforms outperform simple granite or steel tables by over 20dB. Stainless Steel surfaces and a simple seamless shape ensure both easy and thorough cleaning, making the platforms ideal for Clean Room use and resistant to almost all forms of biological and chemical attack. The platforms incorporate Sorbothane isolators. These have a long and proven history in the isolation of surface borne vibrations. Excellent isolation efficiencies of 95 percent at 50Hz and as much as 98 percent at 100Hz are achieved. Sorbothane also has a superior damping coeffiecent when compared to other polymers such as rubber, neoprene and silicone, which means that our tables dampen out even the most servere disturbances such as those caused by accidental knocks.
